JOB SUMMARY:

Reporting to the Guest Service Manager (GSM), the Guest Services Supervisor (GSS) is responsible for ensuring the highest level of guest service by maintaining standards for all positions within the Front Office department. The person will work closely with his team but will also maintain a constant relationship with other department.

GSS supports the GSM in guiding all front office employees (Front Desk, Reservations, Night Audit, Concierge and bellman when applicable) to achieve the company’s strategic direction, focusing on policies, procedures, vision and values. The GSS serves as a resource to the overall operations of the hotel by providing assistance and direction as needed. Energetic and passionate about customer service, the ideal candidate has a knack for problem solving and strong leadership skills!

YOUR ROLE:
  • Responsible for the Front Desk, Reservations, Night Audit, Concierge and Bellman
  • Ensuring a smooth operation and the highest level of guest satisfaction.
  • Review arrival reports including regular guests as well as VIPs to ensure all special requirements are met or exceeded.
  • Seeks feedback on guest satisfaction and resolves problems in accordance with our Mission Statement.
  • Effectively maximizes inventory levels during high occupancy/sold out nights.
  • Knows all procedures for emergency and general crisis situation management.
  • Consistently demonstrates a commitment to personalized guest service excellence.
  • Complies with the Alt Hotel policies, procedures and code of ethics.
  • Performs any and all other tasks assigned by management.
YOUR PROFILE:
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of previous hotel experience
  • Hospitality or tourism diploma/degree an asset
  • Excellent communication skills, oral and written
  • A second language an asset
  • Demonstrate organization and multi-tasking abilities
  • Strong computer knowledge (experience with Opera PMS program an asset)
  • Professional and friendly, strong ability to work in team
