Reporting to a Senior Operations Manager, the Maintenance Officer will primarily be scheduled for back-shift and/or weekend shifts (e.g. 4pm – 7:30am). The role will assist in the day-to-day operations and maintenance of Queen’s Marque, located on the Halifax Waterfront.
The general presentation of the property in a first-class manner will be at the forefront of the role.  Duties will include responding to fire alarms, intrusion alarms, electrical failures and water leaks. The successful candidate will be responsible for the coordination, review and management of parking, parking allocation, valet parking, enforcement and revenue collecting. Recording of mechanical, electrical and water readings while occasionally resetting building systems will be the responsibility of the Maintenance Officer.
The successful candidate will have at least 2 years customer service experience in maintenance, hospitality, security or another related role. A valid drivers license is a must. Experience with minor maintenance work and repairs is considered an asset. Familiarity with electrical, mechanical and plumbing systems is also considered an asset. The ability to follow instructions and implement company practices and procedures are a must. Additionally, the successful candidate will have the ability to maintain open communication with both the Senior Building Operator and Senior Property Manager.

The compensation for the role ranges between $15 and $16.50 per hour. We offer RRSP’s, extended health benefits and a bonus potential.
