The Hearthstone Boutique Hotel Halifax Dartmouth is currently recruiting for part time room attendants. This position has the potential to grow into a full time position during the summer months as we enter the peak tourism season. Responsibilities:

           
  • To ensure that all tasks are performed for the purpose of providing customer satisfaction.
  • To become familiar with the “Success Manual” and ensure all its points are understood.
  • To ensure all guest rooms and public areas reflect the level of cleanliness and preparedness as defined by the management team.
  • To ensure you have adequate supplies to complete tasks at hand
  • Responsibility for accurately reporting hours for the purpose of payroll
  • To accurately and fully complete all forms given to you by your Manager
  • To report and/or record all lost and/or found items.
 
Examples of Position Related Tasks and Activities:
           
            Tasks include but are not limited to the following;
 
  • Ensure the housekeeping cart and closet is well stocked
  • Complete cleaning of individual guest rooms as per company standard
  • Ensure all rooms have the requisite number of linens, amenities, coffee packs etc.
  • Sign in and out accurately on time sheets
  • To check for “Do not Disturb” signs!  (If no signs are in evidence, knock firmly and announce “housekeeping” then pause for guest response.
  • Enter guest room to strip linen from beds and bathroom.
  • Ensure all amenities in room are in full working order.
 
Qualifications:
 
  • Demonstrated ability to complete tasks as assigned
  • Demonstrated ability to learn new skills
  • Completion of High School
  • Demonstrated ability to work and multitask in a fast paced environment

  • Position holder is available to listen and empathize with feedback from any guest/customer/client who has an issue regarding the property or any other Hearthstone related issue and bring problems to satisfactory resolution
