Breakfast Bar Attendant Holiday Inn Express & Suites Halifax-Bedford Halifax, NS We are currently looking for a Breakfast Bar Attendant. At Holiday Inn Express® we want our guests to rest and feel energized and ready for the day ahead which means we need team members to demonstrate the following service behaviors: Authentic – Show Guest and team members that they are important and make them feel at ease by taking time to acknowledge them in a friendly way. Bold – Take ownership and play your part to get things done by making things easier for our Guest and Staff, doing as much in advance and multi-task when you need to. United - Work together for the common purpose of our guests and other team members  Responsibilities include:  •Set up and replenish buffet ensuring cleanliness and food safety standards are met •Focus on consistance delivery of Holiday Inn Express Start breakfast standards •Greet and ensure guests in the area are provided with a clean and comfortable table to enjoy their breakfast •Clean, reset, bus tables in breakfast area •Clean, refill and reset the breakfast bar and kitchen area •Follow food safety standards •Maintain coffee service areas •Daily use of dishwasher and cleaning all dishes, utensils, glassware and cutlery utilized in the breakfast area •Consistently practices guest and associate privacy and security •Contribute to a healthy and safe work environment by reporting all safety hazards, following WHMIS and Fire safety training, and working in a safe manner. •Other duties as assigned by supervisor  Preferred Education & Qualifications:  •Early morning shifts, which include weekends and holiday as required •Ability to work under pressure in a fast paced environment with minimal direction •Able to take initiative, follow timelines and meet deadlines •Positive, professional demeanor •Excellent communication (verbal/written) and organization skills •Safe Food handling training an asset •Position requires standing, moving, bending •Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 50 pounds without assistance •Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, Stand, sit, or walk for an extended period of time.    If you are interested in joining our team at the Holiday Inn Express and Suites Halifax-Bedford, we want to hear from you!   How to Apply Contact Name: Andrea Johnson Mailing Address: 980 Parkland Drive Phone: 902-444-6700 Email: supervisor@hiexhalifax.com
