We are looking for a  FOOD & BEVERAGE OUTLETS MANAGER

Basic Purpose:   The Food & Beverage Manager supervises daily Banquet and F&B operations and monitors compliance with all F&B policies, standards, and procedures. The successful candidate will manage day-to-day operations verifying that the quality, standards and meeting the expectations of the customers daily and will maintain the operating budget and verify that standards and legal obligations are followed.

Major responsibilities and duties:
  • Direct, supervise and develop all F&B  team members
  • Monitors compliance with all F&B policies, standards & procedures.
  • Maintain effective employee relations by conducting regular team meetings focusing on the goals of the hotel.
  • Recruit, train, and evaluate all employees to ensure a high standard of service.
  • Supervises staffing levels to verify that guest service, operational needs, & financial objectives are met.
  • Encourages and builds mutual trust, respect, and cooperation among team members.
  • Develop and execute corporate and in-house promotions as related to Food & Beverage.
  • Assists in the ordering of Food and Beverage (F&B) supplies, cleaning supplies and uniforms.
  • Operates all department equipment as necessary and reports malfunction.
  • Achieve budget forecasts, revenue and profit goals.
  • Ensure food and beverage cost controls are in place and followed.
  • Maximize productivity through proper budgeting, scheduling and cost control.
  • Ensure that all restaurant and banquet associates have obtained legislated training.
  • Ensure month-end procedures are completed, including inventories, costing and analysis.
  • Program and maintain point of sale system.
  • Assists supervisors in understanding team members ever changing needs and expectations, and how to exceed them.
  • Celebrates and fosters decisions that result in successes as well as failures.
  • Communicates areas that need attention to staff and follows up to verify understanding.
  • Coordinates as requied, cleaning program in all F&B areas, identifying trends and making recommendation for improvements.
  • Ensure superior cleanliness and quality for the outlet and banquet spaces.
  • Maintain knowledge of local competitors to stay current and aware of what’s trending
  • Use innovation and creativity to drive customers both internal and external to TEMPO.
  • Participate in monthly marketing meetings
  • Maintain departmental participation in hotel committees and ensure all information is well communicated and dispersed
  • Maintain and enhance community presence through events participation and maintaining social media presenceOther related duties as assigned
 
Skills, Knowledge and Abilities Required:
  • Demonstrate strong leadership, team building and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven track record in revenue growth, promotions and training.
  • Excellent customer and employee relations skills; previous budget and forecasting experience.
  • Organized, detail-oriented and able to take initiative. 
  • Experience in POS system programming is a strong asset.
  • ProServe/Serve Safe certification
 
Working Conditions:
  • Normal office working conditions.
  • On the operational floor, work involves standing, walking, bending and lifting
  • Evening, weekend and holiday workin hours are required.
 
Preferred Education & Qualifications:
• High school diploma or GED; 5 years’ experience in the food and beverage, culinary, or related professional area. OR
• Certificate/diploma in Hospitality Management;  minimum of 2-3 years’ experience as a manager in a high volume food and beverage operation.
