Title:  Bartender
 
Supervisor:  Guest Services Manager
 
Definition:  Under the supervision of the Guest Services Manager or in their absence, under the supervision of the Supervisor, the Bartender primary responsibility is to prepare and serve all beverages and assisting guest with the food options available at the Altcetera while providing professional knowledgeable and friendly service.
 
 
  1. Description of principal tasks:
  • Anticipate guest's needs, respond promptly and acknowledge guests even when busy
  • Prepare and serve all beverages
  • Adhere to all liquor laws and regulations
  • Product knowledge of menu items, liquor brands, beer and non-alcoholic selections, preparation methods and garnishes for each drink.
  • Assist guest with selecting and warming up items at the Altcetera
  • Clear tables
  • Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation and organization of bar-top, service areas.
  • Keep the area clean (cupboard, counters, dishes, charis, tables etc)
  • Rotate the expired items
  • Perform related maintenance/cleaning of equipment
  • Maintain the supplies of food (perishable and non-perishable)
  • Maintain the proper supplies (napkins, cutlery, etc)
 
  1. Administrative tasks
  • Maintain the inventory of liquor and supplies in the main storage area.
  • Fill in request form when need be and submit to GSM
  • Deposit procedures
  • Balance cash register
 
  1. All other tasks as required
 
Job requirements: 

- Previous bartending experience in a reputable bar
- Excellent knowledge of wines & spirits, mixology skills
- Smart Serve Certified
- Professional, enthusiastic, energetic, a people person
- Able to work and communicate well within the team
- Available to accommodate a flexible work schedule
- Able to work under pressure
