GENERAL OVERVIEW
This front-line position is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong customer focus. Our colleagues work to provide the highest level of service in a knowledgeable, professional manner while striving constantly to exceed guest expectations. Reporting to the Outlets Manager the primary areas of focus for this position are:
BARTENDER RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Embrace Delta Hotels’ Food and Beverage Standards and the Vision, Mission, and Values.
• Exceed the expectations of all guests (both internal and external) through empowerment and by responding attentively, efficiently, and politely to all requests.
• Provide the highest level of service in a knowledgeable, professional manner in all aspects service
• Prepare beverage orders for guests and serve in a responsible manner.
• Perform opening duties which include preparing tables, and stocking stations.
• Serve food and beverage to guests with full knowledge of all menu items including daily specials.
• Bus and reset tables.
• Accountable for a cash float and proper settlement procedures for bills.
• Help create a positive work environment through teamwork and cooperation with peers and leaders.
• Actively participate in monthly departmental communication meetings.
• Contribute to a healthy and safe work environment by reporting all safety hazards, following WHMIS and Fire Safety training, and working in a safe manner.
• Contribute to the overall financial success of the Food and Beverage department through suggestive selling, up-selling, breakage/equipment control, and accurate financial reporting
• Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Food & Beverage Experience is required (previous Bartending experience is preferred).
• Training in mixology is an asset
• Demonstrated exceptional service skills with a passion to anticipate and exceed guest expectations.
• Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills as well as a keen eye for detail.
• Able to organize job tasks efficiently, be thorough and exact with details, provide quality guest service
• Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Responsible Beverage Service Course is an asset.
• Previous cash handling experience is required.
• A working knowledge of Micros 3700 is an asset.
• Reliable and flexible to work varied shifts, including days, evenings, weekends, holidays and split shifts.
• Capable of handling a physically demanding workload: including lifting, standing for long periods of time
Regular shifts will be: Saturday, Sunday and Monday – 11:30am to 4:30pm.
