GENERAL OVERVIEW
This front-line position is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong customer focus who is looking to start a career in the hotel industry. Our colleagues work to provide the highest level of service in a knowledgeable, professional manner while striving constantly to exceed guest expectations of our service.
RESPONSIBILITES:
• Embrace all Delta Hotels Rooms Standards and Delta’s Vision, Mission, and Brand Values.
• Exceed the expectations of all guests (both internal and external) through empowerment and by responding attentively, efficiently, and politely to all requests. Apply Delta Connex training.
• Help create a positive work environment through teamwork and cooperation with peers and team leaders.
• Actively participate in monthly departmental communication meetings.
• Contribute to a healthy and safe work environment by reporting all safety hazards, following WHMIS and Fire Safety training, and working in a safe manner.
• Welcome guests to the hotel. Process guest arrivals and departures.
• Respond to guest inquiries and concerns.
• Upsell guest rooms to maximize revenues.
• Follow specific check lists and credit procedures.
• Operation of switch board and related functions.
• Prepare Delta Privilege/VIP guests’ arrival and departure information.
• Other duties as assigned including thorough training on the Night Audit function.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• A friendly and enthusiastic individual with a neat professional appearance.
• Demonstrates exceptional guest service skills with a passion to continually anticipate and exceed guest expectations.
• Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills and a keen eye for detail are essential.
• A self-motivated individual able to problem solve, initiate action and complete projects in a timely manner.
• Able to multi-task and work in a fast paced environment.
• A working knowledge of MS Word and MS Excel is required.
• A working knowledge of Opera and bilingualism are assets.
• Reliable and flexible: able to work various shifts including weekends, holidays and split shifts.
Hours and shifts will vary according to occupancy levels.
