Hampton Inn by Hilton, Sydney, under management of DP Murphy Hotels & Resorts, has an immediate opening for a hotel sales associate, based out of Halifax, NS. 

We are looking to find an energetic and results focused sales professional, who will be accountable for a high level of direct sales activities per week generating business for our Sydney hotel, as well as generating leads in the Corporate, Government and SMERF markets for each of the hotels affiliated under the DP Murphy Hotels & Resorts portfolio.

The candidate will be based from our sister property, the Future Inns Hotel and Conference Centre, located in Bayers Lake, NS and will report to the General Manager at the Hampton Inn by Hilton, Sydney. 

There will be frequent travel to the Sydney market required, along with travel to other market feeder cities as required.

The individual must have a proven track record in sales, exceptional organizational skills and be a self initiator focused on results.  A post-secondary education and hotel industry experience is an asset.  The successful applicant must have the ability to complete and present professional presentations and business proposals, be familiar with RFP programs, participate in networking events, research leads, have excellent communication skills as well as the ability to close the sale.

This position offers a competitive salary but will also consist of commission lead generation from the affiliated hotels under the DP Murphy Hotels & Resorts portfolio.
