GENERAL OVERVIEW
This front-line position is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong customer focus. Our colleagues work to provide the highest level of service in a knowledgeable, professional manner while striving constantly to exceed guest expectations. Reporting to the Assistant Outlets Manager the primary areas of focus for this position are:
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Embrace Delta Hotels’ Food and Beverage Standards and the Vision, Mission, and Brand Values.
- Exceed the expectations of all guests (both internal and external) through empowerment and by responding attentively, efficiently, and politely to all requests.
- Help create a positive work environment through teamwork and cooperation with peers and team leaders.
- Actively participate in monthly departmental communication meetings.
- Contribute to a healthy and safe work environment by reporting all safety hazards, following WHMIS and Fire Safety training, and working in a safe manner.
- Server duties as assigned which may include Banquets, Grab n’ Go, In Room Dining, or Restaurant
- Contribute to the overall financial success of the Food and Beverage department through suggestive selling, up-selling, breakage/equipment control, and accurate financial reporting
- Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS, ABILITIES, SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
- Friendly, enthusiastic individual with a neat, professional appearance
- Demonstrates exceptional guest service skills with a passion to continually anticipate and exceed guest expectations.
- Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills and a keen eye for detail are essential.
- Able to organize job tasks efficiently, be thorough and exact with details, provide quality guest service
- Reliable and flexible to work varied shifts, including days, evenings, weekends, holidays and split shifts.
- Capable of handling a physically demanding workload, including lifting, or standing for long periods of time
- Must be of legal age to serve alcohol
- Knowledge of wine service is an asset
