Corporate Sales Manager Trade Centre Limited Halifax Trade Centre Limited (TCL) is inviting applications for the position of Corporate Sales Manager for the new Halifax Convention Centre. Reporting to the Director of Sales, the Corporate Sales Manager will be accountable for identifying and securing prospective corporate meeting, convention and event business for the Halifax Convention Centre.  The successful candidate will be driven and committed to deliver conference and meeting activity that will continue to leverage Halifax, Nova Scotia as the premier destination for meetings and conferences and events in Atlantic Canada.   In collaboration with the Director of Sales, you will create and activate an annual sales strategy to ensure the corporate market for the new convention centre achieves established sales targets.   Through your ability to build and strengthen relationships and trust with existing and new clients, you will develop an extensive client prospect list, understand market trends, competition and your customers’ needs.    Qualifications: University degree or equivalent training and experience in the meetings and conventions industry Progressive sales experience (7-10 years) with a proven track record for business development Experience negotiating complex agreements with clients and the ability to work in a fast paced, deadline driven environment Proven success in the development of relationships Charismatic, professional communicator Must be a self-starter with the ability to work independently or as part of a collaborative team This position is guaranteed to offer a unique opportunity to be at the pulse of an organization where the goal is to bring people together to create economic and community benefit for all Nova Scotians.
