GENERAL OVERVIEW
This front-line position is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong customer focus who is looking to start a career in the hotel industry.  The Signature Club Attendant works to provide the highest level of service to our guests in a knowledgeable, professional manner while striving to exceed expectations,

RESPONSIBILITES:
  •  Set up, service and breakdown the breakfast buffet and evening hors d’oeuvres
  •  Work with Rooms Manager and Executive Chef to ensure food quality and consistency
  • Clear tables in the Club Lounge and maintain the overall cleanliness of the Club Lounge.
  • Perform random inspections of Signature Club Rooms to ensure standards are adhered to.
  • Perform inventory and restock products to par, in both the Lounge and kitchen area as required
  • Embrace all opportunities to promote and enhance the Signature Club experience using competitive knowledge and solicitation of guest’s comments.
  • Complete courtesy calls to Signature Club Floor guests the night prior to their departure
  • Act in the capacity of a concierge for the handling of reservations, city information, etc.
  • Assist guests with computer, printing, and fax needs.
  • Embrace all Delta Hotels Rooms Standards and Delta’s Mission, Vision and Values.
  • Exceed the expectations of all guests (both internal and external) through empowerment, exceptional guest service and by responding attentively, efficiently and politely to all requests.
  • Be knowledgeable of the hotel services and pass information onto guests in a timely fashion.
  • Help create a positive work environment through teamwork & cooperation with peers and leaders.
  • Responsible for Training new Signature Club Attendants
  • Actively participate in monthly departmental communication meetings.
  • Contribute to a healthy and safe work environment by reporting all safety hazards, following WHMIS and Fire Safety training, and working in a safe manner.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Split shifts are required:  
Mornings:    Week days - 6am to 10am  and Weekends - 7am to 11am
Afternoons – 4pm to 8pm daily 

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • A friendly and enthusiastic individual with a neat professional appearance.
  • Exceptional guest service skills with a passion to continually anticipate and exceed guest expectations.
  • Strong interpersonal communication, and organizational skills and a keen eye for detail are essential.
  • Self-motivated individual with the ability to problem solve, initiate action, and complete projects.
  • Vast knowledge of the Halifax area and activities throughout the region.
  • Desire to work in a Quality-based environment.
  • Working knowledge of MS Word, MS Excel, and Opera as well as bilingualism are assets.
