RESPONSIBILITIES: The Guest Service Supervisor work closely alongside the Guest Service Manager supervising the day-to-day operations of the Guest Service Department.  Supervise all aspects of the Front Desk, Night Audit, and Guest Services Representatives.  Maintain a high level of employee motivation and encourage the participation of all employees.  Assist in supervising, training, scheduling and mentoring all Front Office associates. Coach and assist in developing skills of all Guest Service team to the best of their potential.  Assist in supervising, training, scheduling and mentoring the Night Audit team  Act as a lisaon between Night Audit and Accouting  Assist, maintain and monitor all staff as stated above in order to consistently meet established company standards, and achieve a high level of guest satisfaction, adopting a proactive approach to guest.  Maintain control of daily room inventory.  Oversee all rooming lists for Groups, Teams, and Tours.  Ensure application of credit policies, controls and handling of financial transactions.  Assist in developing and implementing Guest Service incentives designed to increase revenues and guest satisfaction.  Assist in driving the hotel Heartbeat and Stay Real Culture within the Hotel.  Act on guest feedback and ensure that corrective action is taken in order to ensure 100% guest satisfaction to promote an Empowerment Philosophy within the team and the hotel.  Assist in ensuring staff are fully knowledgeable on all hotel facilities, daily functions, current hotel promotions, as well as local activities and attractions within the city.  Multi-task and work within tight deadlines.  Actively participate in ensuring guest and employee health and safety. Take immediate action within the guidelines provided in the event of a fire alarm or emergency situation.  Fulfills Manager on Duty (MOD) shifts.  Completes all MOD required duties and tasks assigned to the Manager on Duty. JOB REQUIREMENTS: This position requires a keen and self-disciplined individual with a sincere desire to provide exceptional Guest within a high volume atmosphere. This candidate must have a minimum of 2 years Service in a Guest Representative role.  Must be a professional individual able to work under pressure in a fast paced, ever changing environment capable of multiple priorities.  Possess strong communication skills, well organized, self motivated and strong team player.  Ability to lead employees to achieve the department’s vision and measurable goals.  Extensive Night Audit experience is required  High level of accuracy and a strong commitment to detail.  High degree of integrity, ethics and ability to use discretion with confidential information, understanding that the MOD is a representative of the General Manager in their absence  Previous Service with Opera and Holidex computer systems an asset, excellent working knowledge of Microsoft office required.  Capable of maintaining a flexible work schedule that includes weekends, evenings and holidays.  Entrepreneurial spirit required.
