The World Trade & Convention Centre (WTCC), a division of Trade Centre Limited (TCL), and Atlantic Canada’s premier venue for meeting and convention services, is now recruiting a qualified individuals to join our team as a Receiving Clerk with our Food and Beverage group. 

Reporting to the Executive Chef, the Receiving Clerk will be responsible for the day-to-day operations relating to receiving and inventory activities within the Food and Beverage department, including the physical receiving of goods and ensuring the accuracy of invoices and paperwork pertaining to merchandise. This position will work closely with the Finance team to ensure documentation is remitted on a timely basis to enable payment of invoices, and will provide support in quarterly inventory counts.  The Receiving clerk will also help track and manage credit requests for returned and/or spoiled products and be responsible for the organization and cleanliness of product storage areas.
 
What we’re looking for:
  • An enthusiastic, friendly, dedicated individual with strong communication skills and a professional attitude who is detail-oriented, enjoys being part of a team and provides outstanding service to internal and external customers/vendors
  • Previous experience in a similar role, relating to receiving and/or inventory activities; experience from within Food & Beverage receiving is preferred
  • Demonstrated abilities in time management and strong organizational skills, specific to working with financial documentation and preparing goods for inventory count
  • Completed training/education from an administration or hospitality program is preferred
  • Proficient computer skills including demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Suite (Excel and Outlook)
  • Must be able to push/pull a heavy cart and physically able to lift up to 50 lbs. /23 kg
