Maintenance Person (Part Time- 4 Days a Week)

The Maintenance Person needs be passionate about providing our guests with the highest standard of guest care. This position requires individuals who are personable, enthusiastic, who go above and beyond every day and are willing to be our guests constant caring friend. GENERAL DESCRIPTION Responsibilities include all maintenance, preventative maintenance, repairs, renovations and duties associated with but not limited to the following:  Respond to guest calls/requests when on duty.  Respond to Front desk calls, assists in checking rooms, luggage delivery and special guest requests.  Communicates with MOD and co-workers regarding product/service deficiencies, equipment malfunctions, emergency situations and safety concerns.  Equipped to handle fire alarm procedures and other safety requirements. Completes fire safety reports (e.g. Fire extinguishers, Health & Safety, Equipment reports)  Familiar with supply/controls of water, electricity and gas in emergency situations.  Performs general maintenance services such as painting, refurbishing furniture and repairing fixtures.  Performs general minor repairs to in-house plumbing, electrical, refrigeration, kitchen equipment and routine maintenance on air handling HVAC systems.  Performs room inspections as required.  Able to trouble shoot, follow and maintain a preventative maintenance program in accordance with Holiday Inn Brand directives and instructions.  Removes snow/ice on walkways surrounding hotel as needed.  Maintains pool facilities in clean and orderly condition.  Helpful and courteous to guests at all times.  Some janitorial work inside/outside of the building in keeping appearance at its best.  Physical fitness requirements include constant standing, bending, reaching, walking and the ability to frequently lift at least 50lbs.  Aware of security for assigned areas.  Perform other duties as required. WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS  Excellent verbal and written communication skills.  Previous experience in hotel operations preferred.  Excellent organizational and prioritizing skills.  Individual must have proven ability to work independently.  Proficient in computer applications and Microsoft Office products SHIFTS are: Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday, with Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday off. There are two shifts required: 7am - 3pm and 2pm - 10pm
