POSITION:
Guest Service Agent
POSITION SUMMARY:
To provide efficient and courteous service to each guest, both internal and external. To adhere to the policies, procedures, quality standards, and services as established by the management team for the satisfaction of guests. Must be willing to work shifts and weekends, as needed. A calm, professional approach is required at all times.
REPORTING TO:
Front Office Manager
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Accurate and Timely check-in and check-out of hotel guest
- Perform Reservations duties, as required
- Perform switchboard duties, as required
- Daily balancing of individual work, as well as maintaining a cash float
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
- Provide excellent guest service, meeting and exceeding guests needs and request
- Be empowered to solve a guest’s problem immediately to ensure guest satisfaction
- Complete additional duties as required by the Front Office Manager and as noted on the Daily Checklist
- Act as an ambassador for our Brand
- Foster the spirit of teamwork
REQUIREMENTS:
- Post secondary education in Tourism and Hospitality or equivalent hotel experience an asset
- Proficiency using computer programs
- Excellent communication and guest services skills
- Positive and professional demeanour
- Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills
- Able to handle stress and work in a fast paced environment
- Able to stand and/or to sit for long periods of time
- Ability to show initiative and handle problems without guidance
