Job Description:
As a Room Attendant at the Hilton Garden Inn Halifax Airport you will be integral to the cleanliness and general upkeep of the hotel.
- Clean guest rooms to standard set out by the property.
- Able to work with little supervision.
- Able to lift heavy objects (up to 20 kg).
- Assist in the security of the property including guests, employees.
- May clean public areas needed, including emptying wastebaskets and ashtrays and transporting trash and waste to disposal area, replenishing supplies in restrooms, delivering linen and replacing light bulbs.
- General cleaning duties.
- Clear and concise pass-on communication with colleagues and leaders in the department
- Contribute to achieving the loyalty of our guests by exceeding their expectations and providing warm personal service

- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; stoop, kneel, crouch, bend or twist; and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to use hands to handle, grasp or type; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and to push, pull or lift over 50 pounds. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
- Previous Housekeeping experience a definite asset
- High School education; or related or transferable experience/training; or equivalent combination or education and experience.
- Must be able to work a variety of shifts inclusive of evenings and holidays.
